Customer Delivery in East Sussex – Jempsons Supermarket - Rye

When Jempson’s Supermarket in Peasmarsh, East Sussex, needed additional refrigerated storage, the original plan was to supply a 20ft refrigerated container. However, due to temporary stock availability, that unit was no longer available.

Rather than delay the project, Bosh Boxes supplied a 40ft new one-trip high cube refrigerated container at the same agreed price, giving the customer almost double the storage capacity without increasing the cost.

The container was fitted with modern Thermo King refrigeration machinery, capable of maintaining temperatures from approximately -30°C to +30°C, making it suitable for both frozen and chilled food storage. The additional internal height of the high cube design also provided greater storage volume for supermarket operations.

Because of site access and lifting requirements, delivery was completed using a dual-vehicle method, with a skeleton trailer transporting the container and an artic HIAB carrying out the final offload. This approach allowed the container to be positioned safely and accurately on site.
